Everybody
Eats Tortillas is the name of our first book and has
already earned the prestigious "Editor's Choice"
designation by the publisher. In the story, Maria has just moved
with her family to a new state and she is nervous about her first
day at school. But her grandmother has packed something in her
lunch that makes Maria wonder if the other kids will think she is
strange. Through her teacher's gentle guidance, Maria learns
that she is not different from the other kids and that they all
share a common food.
Following the story is
a recipe section with 23 flatbread recipes that look and taste just
like tortillas. Each recipe is specifically written for
children, so they are easy to understand and to prepare. Boys
and girls alike will have fun preparing tortilla-like flat breads
from countries such as Norway, Italy, India, Africa, China,
and many more. Each recipe has been carefully researched and
tested so that beginner cooks will have fun in the
preparation.
Everybody
Eats Tortillas is now available at
your local Barnes and Noble bookstore, at www.barnsandnoble.com, www.amazon.com,
and www.iuniverse.com, for only
$9.95. Two (2) more story/cookbooks are expected to be
ready for release in 2007.
